Instruments: Violin – Viola – Cello – Double bass

Qualification awarded
II Level Academic Diploma in Music Disciplines – Performing and composing course – String instruments

Admission requirements
The I Level Academic Diploma or Conservatory Diploma or Bachelor
Admission test with a performance (15 minutes about) and a general conversation
A board of examiners of the Council of Course will exam the student's credits.

Educational and professional goals
The string instruments course is aimed at a solid preparation concerning the instrumental practice for the concertist profession.

Access to further studies
The possibility of advancing to the Doctor's degree

Final examination 
The candidate can chose between two kinds of final examination:
1. A performance of about 45 minutes
2. A performance of about 30 minutes and a presentation and discussion on a thesis.

Examination and assessment regulations
At the end of every course there is an exam with a grade.
Getting through the exam give to the student the right to accumulate credits.

Admission requirements

  • The 1st Level Academic Diploma or Conservatory Diploma or Bachelor
  • Admission test: the candidate will presents own's compositions and exercises of the technics to compose.
    A board of examiners will assess the presented works.
  • A general conversation to test the specific preparation of the candidate.

Educational and professional goal

The course is aimed at a knowledge of compositive abilities through the study of the traditional and contemporary technics of the composition;a knowledge of music languages and of music analysis recents methods;a solid preparation concerning the composer profession in order to be able to operate in Contemporary Music world.

The student can chose one of the characteristic and compulsory disciplines.

a) an elaborate about the discipline chosen;
b) other possible elaborates made during the course

“Chamber music” Level II

II Level Academic Diploma in Music Discipline – Performing and composing course – Chamber music

Admission requirements
● The first level Academic Diploma or Conservatory diploma or Bachelor
● Admission test with a performance of about 15 minutes duration with pieces chosen by the candidate and a general conversation

The Chamber Music course wants to give to the students a solid preparation concerning the instrumental practice for the concertist profession

Access to further studies
The possibility to accede to the Doctor's degree
