magdalena 1Why is it worth cooperating with the Conservatorio di Musica "L. Perosi"? There are many reasons! First of all, the employees and students are curious about the world, interested in both research and artistic problems. It was a great honor and joy to share our experiences both in the field of music history, presenting the students and lecturers works of Polish composers, like Paderewski. We were pleased to share our knowledge from different perspectives: from the perspective of an active artist, a researcher of musical arts, a music psychologist, a psychotherapist using music as an important element of therapy. We visited the beautiful building of the Conservatory with interest and listened to the lessons given by instrumentalists. We also had the opportunity to meet with the authorities of the Conservatory and it is impossible not to mention that throughout this time the irreplaceable Prof. Tiziana Columbro watched over our stay. Her highest standards of work, her dedication to the academic community were noticeable: she watched over all the activities and was always willing to help in any matter, never bored, always friendly and extremely cultured.

We are grateful for her help, professionalism and openness to research.

The heart of music beats in Campobasso with a strong and measured rhythm!

Erasmus Mobility for Studies (Guitar): 07.09.2022-28.02.2023

“It’s always been my dream to go to the Erasmus program. I believed that it would have been a great experience and opportunity for me. Eventually I did it, and it was just like my dreams. I was an Erasmus student from Turkey. First I was a little afraid to be in a foreign country: but the school was great, teachers and students were very helpful too. The town was a little small, so it was so easy to explore. I would love to be there and live this experience again!”. Demren.

Erasmus Training Mobility: 11-14.03.2024

“It was very nice and very interesting!!! I always enjoy travelling to Italy because it’s a country that I like a lot. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. I liked people in general, especially some teachers and students. I can say the composition teacher, piano and chamber music teachers.

The main enrichment for me was to be in contact with other people from a different country. I could learn other systems of education and other ways of making music".

Without doubt, there was a specific-key experience in my mobility: it was my participation in a concert with my friend Prof. Tiziana Columbro. We played together a work of mine for piano 4 hands: it was a wonderful experience for me, really, and I am very grateful to Tiziana for her participation in my work. I must mention my close friend Tiziana: she was very kind and very warm with us; an extraordinary Erasmus Coordinator and better friend. Thank you for everything, Tiziana!!!

I would love to repeat this experience in the future, it was very nice for me and I’m always willing to come back to Campobasso or other cities in Italy!”

Erasmus Mobility for Studies (Percussion), academic year 2024-2025

mondria 1The whole Erasmus+ program has been an unforgettable experience. I have greatly enjoyed the culture of this country, the academic year and all the projects proposed by the centre, the city, its people, its food. But what I have enjoyed the most is all the friendships and memories that I will take with me thanks to my colleagues in the Percussion Classroom of the Perosi Conservatory.

mondria 2The mobility has enriched me academically, but also it has made me understand another culture and its people, taught me a new language and helped me to master my English. It  has enriched my vision of the world and my life with new friends and new experiences.

It has been a stage of my life that I will always remember with great affection and appreciation for all the people I have shared it with.

I would repeat this experience as many times as possible, it is a highly recommendable experience for all students!

The Perosi Conservatory as a whole has made my experience so much easier: they have been very understanding, they have been able to solve any problem easily and quickly, and they have always been available for any need.

I would like to thank two people in particular for their great work, without whom my Erasmus would not have been as fantastic.

mondria 4First of all to Tiziana Columbro, the Erasmus coordinator: without her help throughout the whole course my stay would have been much more complicated and hectic, she always knew how to find solutions to every situation, and she was always ready to help, always present and responding quickly and very politely.

Also, I would like to thank my percussion teacher, Claudio Santangelo, who welcomed me with open arms, and helped me enormously in my adaptation to the country, the language and the conservatory. He has been an excellent percussion teacher at unimaginable levels, but he has also been a tutor in vital aspects outside the academic field.

Erasmus Mobility for Teaching (2025)

My experience at the Conservatorio Lorenzo Perosi was wonderful.  The students paid attention in each class, especially at the body awareness class: they are eager to learn, very motivated and interested.

Prof. Tiziana Columbro (IRC) and Prof. Fabio Colajanni (flute teacher) were there at every moment, if I needed something. The city is quiet and beautiful, perfect to go for a walk and to know the ancient city of Campobasso, the wonderful views.

The people are nice and they welcome you to the city.

I would definitely recommend going to Campobasso. I would like to come back!

Erasmus Mobility for Training (2023)

I went to Conservatorio Lorenzo Perosi in Campobasso, Italy, between 4-6 September 2023. Drawing attention with its traditional architecture, the school bore the traces of Italian architecture. I received information about different departments of the university, and I had the opportunity to have discussions on the fields of music and literature with the academician I met at the university. I realized that many cultural and mythological elements support the Italian-Turkish relationship in art and literature.

Since it is a Mediterranean country, I had the opportunity to make joint evaluations about Turkish and Italian music and culture. I realized that many stories and symbols that exist in classical Turkish literature also exist in Italian culture.

Campobasso has become a place where I gained new experiences and had the opportunity to know new cultures. Meeting an academic and international team was very beneficial for me to gain professional and cultural common ground. We made plans to communicate with professors working at the university. They stated that they sometimes have concerts in Turkey. We exchanged our phone numbers and plan to meet in the future.

I had the chance to listen to musical performances from teachers who are famous musicians in Italy and work at Campobasso. The bassoon was very interesting, due to its similarity to the "mey" instrument called "duduk" in our culture.

Finally, during my education, academic and cultural exchanges, helpful attitudes of Italians and historical observations gave me an unforgettable experience. I completed my mobility by offering good wishes. I am grateful to everyone who hosted me.

I would especially like to thank Tiziana Columbro, Silvio Rocco, Francesco Spensieri, Nicola Cicerale, Stefano Semprini, Peppe Bracone. “Gracie…!!”
